Ildireta Culture and Heritage Foundation is rooted in the Maasai concept of “Ildireta”—meaning ways of protecting, assisting and providing means for less fortune in the society. Founded to preserve indigenous culture and empower marginalized groups, the foundation works to bridge tradition with progress.
The Foundation is a community-based organization dedicated to preserving indigenous culture, empowering women, destitute children and promoting traditional arts. We aim to protect and celebrate our cultural identity while addressing key social issues affecting our communities.
It is a registered organization with its name approved by the Registrar of Societies under the office of the Attorney General and Department of Justice, with Registration No: SOCF-5GSWB7 on April 16, 2025. The foundation has its operations in Kajiado County, Kenya and its environs.
